Hopefully the pictures have worked, ok bit of a strange one but wanted opinions on my dds hair (she's 2). She was born with very little hair but the hair she did have had a definite reddish tinge to it (it was the first thing I noticed about her!) , her hair seems to look different colours in different lights or depending which hair colour she's standing next to, If she's near someone with blonde or brown hair hers will look ginger but if she's next to a true red head it will look more faded and blondish with a slight hint of red. I know it doesn't really matter I just find mysjef looking at it and thinking what colour actually is it so wondered what anyone's thoughts were?!

Also since it has started growing about 4 months ago it has come in really curly, what are the chances of it staying curly does any one know? I'm half expecting her to wake up with straight mousy brown hair one morning which is what me, dh and ds all have (but have always had) and since I'm not used to curly hair any tips on how to stop it looking like a giant frizz ball in the mornings?! I currently use a tangle tanker abs de tangling spray but takes a while to get it looking tame and dd won't stay still!

For reference my grandad used to have bright red hair and my mil has naturally very curly hair.

It's golden colour and is beautiful! My son is the same but it's straight with a few kinks X

Her hair is a gorgeous golden blonde & I love her curls!  I think the curls will stay in as her hair gets longer - can't help with ideas to tame them unfortunately as all of mine have poker straight hair!

It looks like a gorgeous strawberry blonde colour, so from the photo it does look on the red hair spectrum. I'm very envious as I had high hopes for my youngest to be a red head. He was born with a gingery tinge, but it has gone only blonde now. Mine has curls too, and for him the best way to keep it from getting too frizzy is simply not washing it too much. I rarely use shampoo on his hair and usually just warm water with a wash cloth to clean it in the bath, then if I can get away with it I don't use a brush, but instead gently use my fingers to gently detangle it, sometimes with a teensy tiny bit of conditioner rubbed in when wet if very tangled.

Wow such a pretty shade. I think that it may go either way and turn blonde or even perhaps go a touch redder? Gorgeous colour, I've hardly ever seen it, she's going to be very striking.

I had curls like that but as my hair got longer and thicker it hangs straighter, but if it gets wet and dries naturally it does curl a little.

Curly hair can tend to be drier, so as pp said its all about nourishment and not stripping the natural oils and not brushing too much. I don't know much about children's hair but for an adult you'd be looking for a shampoo that has nourishing oils, or even just rinse with water and do a dab of nourishing oil conditioner? Detangler is a good idea and basically anything leave-in but for a baby maybe choose anything mild or natural? Not sure if that helps!

You hair changes colour as you age. Mine was black as a newborn baby, then strawberry blonde until about 6, then gradually more brown and I am sure grey will come in time! Uggggh

Thanks for the lovely comments about my daughters hair, I do love it as its so different and we get a few comments from strangers about it too! i just hope it doesn't turn into my boring straight brown hair lol.

Thanks for the tips Vicki and Hilary, I will stop washing it with shampoo as often or brushing it as it can make it go more frizzy anyway! I will try and find some leave in conditioner for her hair.

So from putting the comments together it seems golden blonde with a hint of strawberry/red is her hair colour 😃

Aw wow, SUCH a gorgeous colour! To me I'd say it's golden blonde and not red at all but that's imaybe because my little one is a dark strawberry blonde (in fact it's a two tone colour, he's quite ginger on the top then at the back were his curls are it goes blonder.) standing next to a child with darker ginger hair his looks light but next to a child with blonde or dark hair it looks quite ginger! im wondering if it will change much as he gets older.

Her curls are beautiful! don't ever get them cut hehe x

I would describe it as a strawberry blonde, My  little girl had light red curly hair up until she was about 3 she is now 6 and has got a lot darker and straighter but still with a little wave, very pretty. She also has brown eyes. Her father is half spanish so Think thats why it has got darker, Never imagined she would be born with  red  hair though

My mum always says its strawberry blonde too, even her eyelashes and eyebrows are the same colour and very fair. She has light blue eyes like my sister (me and ds have grey/dark blue eyes and dh has brown eyes, she doesn't seem to have any of our features lol!) and a few freckles across her cheeks and bridge of nose. I think she will always be very fair and probably go blonder if her hair does change.

I did get all her curls cut off just before Christmas, as her hair had suddenly grown very quickly but had come through very fine and wispy and the curls looked very straggly. I didn't want to get them cut as I thought they wouldn't come back (the hairdresser warned me they might not) but my mum persuaded me to get it done, but as you can see they definitely have come back and even curlier and a lot thicker and look much better so I'm glad I did! Yes as others have saidabout their children,  her hair seems to change in the light I have pictures of her looking very ginger and others more blonde but it is definitely an unusual colour!

I'd say golden blonde with a hint of strawberry. My lo has similar curls. I spray it with plain water, brush the tangles out then run my fingers through it and it gives perfect ringlets. Her hair is a lot longer than your lo's and still very curly. I also used to worry about the curls disappearing lol

I have very curly hair naturally. I find it best when I do very little with it. So I wash it, comb it and leave it alone lol. Brushing it when dry makes it frizzy. If I do have to brush it when dry I spray it with water and use a wide comb rather than a brush. I tend to wash it at night and then plait it so it doesn't get too wild overnight. I use conditioner a few times a week but not every wash as I find it weighs my hair down and makes it greasy. Lush do a cream called r and b which is great for quickly tidying up curly hair. It's easier to manage when it's longer (sounds wrong I know) as the weight helps control it somewhat, but then my hair is also very thick. Alas it is not a gorgeous colour like your daughters, but a very dark brown.
