My LO is almost 16months and still has NO teeth!
Is this normal?

When did yours get theirs?

Anyone else this late?  should I be concerned?

Maybe I'll give my dentist a call.
She is perfect in every other way - just all gums.

Hi Emma
My daughter is 17 months old and she got her first two teeth just a few weeks ago (both came out on the same day).
I went to the dentist some months ago as I too was worried and they said it was normal and they wouldn't check her till she was 30 months old and still didn't have teeth. Apparently the only way they can check is to x-ray the gums to confirm that the tooth buds are there and you obviously don't want a young child to be x-rayed unnecessarily!

It's an old wives' tale that the longer the teeth take to come out the stronger the gums are so she'll retain them longer in old age! That's what I kept comforting myself with anyway ;-)

Thanks Swati

I like to think that the later they are the stronger they will be... we will have to wait and see.
30months seems a long time to wait!

Hello I'm just curious, did their teeth end up coming through? Did they need an xray x
