Morning everyone! Please help 🤞🤞

We've been liking a name for quite a while now. I just need to know it's right and not too unusual. I've asked on some FB pages but they all seem to be American pages so could be different there to what people think of it in the UK. What do you think of the name Ziva (pronounced Zeeva)? Is it too unusual for here. Don't want to make a decision we regret or is laughed at / people turn their nose up at. Thanks, and hope you all have a lovely Christmas x

It does a child no favours to give her/him an unusual name.

She/he will be teased, bullied ,scorned, ignored, excluded, mistaken on official forms/documents, and generally will face problems throughout life because of her/his name.

Most humans want to be accepted as one of the group, so give your chid a popular/common name, understood and accepted by everyone. Kids (or adults) do not want to be picked out as being different or unusual.

So, go for popular names like Olivia, Emma, Emily, Sarah, Catherine, Victoria, Elizabeth, Joanna, Susan, Jane, Jennifer, Rebecca, etc. (And give her 3 names so that she has a choice).

Your daughter will thank you for this, all of her life.

This is quite possibly one if the most ridiculous things I’ve ever heard.

Fair enough if you choose a silly, weird name but unusual names are beautiful.

We called our daughter Zaira as it was an italian family name and means a lot. It’s a beautiful name, people are always commenting on it and how lovely it is.

I think Ziva is a beautiful name and, to be honest, is simple to pronounce.

Rubbish. It's hardly a name like Cucumber! I'm not having my daughter being one of 5 Olivia's in her class.

No they will not ...I'm Sarah and absolutely hate it even to this day. Nothing wrong with an unusual name especially if it has a good meaning. The names you've picked may not of been from the persons culture either and if someone's bullying someone over their name it is the bullies issue

I dont think this is a name that's so out there she would get bullied and it's a lovely name the world would be boring if everyone had all the same names!! My youngest is harvey it's traditional but he's the only one in his school with that name!! Kids will Bully for alot of reasons names generally aren't one of them
