Hi lovely, I have had 3 c sections. My first was an emergency and my 2nd and 3rd elective.

I opted for the elective sections because I have disabilities but it turns out I have a tilted pelvis and wouldn't have been able to deliver vaginally anyway.

I found my elective sections so much easier to prepare for, I knew the date my babies would be born and I knew what the pain etc was like afterwards. It was chilled, calm and relaxed.

I found moving around afterwards painful but if you keep moving, your recovery is quicker. Just don't over do it and listen to your body.

I had a spinal block and an epidural for my last section, didn't feel a thing except a big of tugging. It's a weird sensation, but not painful. Plus having an epidural and being awake means you can have a birthing partner in with you.

Good luck on your impending arrival! Congratulations xx

Thank you for your reply & congratulations! 🫶🏻

I’m hoping to be booked in for my planned c-section at 39 weeks, I’m 33 weeks now so only 6 more weeks to go!! 😆

I honestly can’t wait, it’s the fact I still some have some sort of control and an exact date for our girl to be born ❤️
