My two year old (27 month) boy is not talking as much as I feel he should. The words he does say he says them clearly, babbles a lot and I feel there is some development in his speech but again, not talking as much. He has been taken care of at home, so no much peer interaction and I have been told this could affect his speech? What has your experience been? He is developing well in other areas, has great memorization skills, plays well with his toys, listen well to directions given, etc.

My son is also 2 years and 3 months old. He only speaks a few words. I don't think you need to worry about that. Boys are always a bit delayed in their development compared to girls. I often get comments that my baby doesn't say anything, but I don't pay attention to it. He is a healthy, playful baby. All children are individual in their development.

Thank you so much for your response :) yes you are right, I wish people would keep their comments to themselves :-/ I have heard boys could be delayed in the speech area. My daughter at this age would be speaking well. I will give this little boy the time needed :-)
