Prime drinks / Sainsbury's

There are a few ways parents can find out where is likely to have the sought-after drinks in stock, before they spend hours driving around!

If you've got kids, chances are they're desperate to get their hands on a Prime energy drink to try.

But to save you the hassle of driving around several shops – and to earn you serious parenting brownie points – there are ways to check where the drinks are in stock before you head out.

Today, Sainsbury's has become a stockist for the first time, but there's an easy way to find out if your local store has any in stock.

But before rushing to your nearest store, you can use the Sainsbury's Stock Checker to find out where the drinks are in stock, from the comfort of your own home!

How to use the Stock Checker

The Sainsbury's Stock Checker can be used to search your local store and find out which everyday grocery items it has in stock.

Simply enter your store's name in the search box and then enter the item you wish to find in the second search box underneath.

Once you hit enter, you will be shown a list of your desired products, and when you click on each individual item the page will tell you the nearest store where they can be found.

However, the checker does note that availability is 'given as an indication' and it cannot guarantee your desired products will still be available once you arrive at the store due to stock moving quickly in busy shops.

Facebook group Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK shared the news that shoppers could use the Sainsbury's Online Stock Checker to find Prime drinks this morning, explaining: 'If you are visiting Sainsbury's Today looking for PRIME you can check the availability of products via their Online Stock Checker.'

Commenting under the post, one Facebook user wrote: 'My life in now fulfilled, I can track Prime.'

'That’s Sainsburys website crashed then,' joked another.

Prime tracker app

But it's not just the Sainsbury's stock checker parents are keeping an eye on. If you're looking for even more ways to find Prime drinks, it turns out you can also use an app.

Parents can put their location into the Prime Tracker UK app, where they'll be shown a map filled with red and green dots, demonstrating whether the drinks are in stock in various stores – red for out of stock and green for available.

The app even includes the option to set up notifications for individual stores.

Yesterday, we reported that Sainsbury's had confirmed it would be stocking Prime drinks for the first time from TODAY (21 February), with a limited-edition KSI Orange and Mango flavour fans would go mad for.

'Excited to be launching Prime Hydration products'

A spokesperson for Sainsbury's said: 'We know our customers actively seek the latest in product innovation. We are excited to be launching the following Prime Hydration products in store from Tuesday 21 February:

· Prime Hydration Lemon Lime 500ml (8154373) - £2

· Prime Hydration Tropical Punch 500ml (8154393) – £2

Is Prime safe for children to drink?

There are two versions of the rare drink – Prime Hydration and Prime Energy – and it's the Prime Hydration that's suitable for kids.

The fizzy Prime Energy contains caffeine, and should not be consumed by kids under the age of 18. This is stated on the Prime website.
