  • 1kg potatoes

  • 3 carrots

  • 2 celery (sticks)

  • bacon (8x rashers)

  • 8 sausages (1x packet)

  • 1 tsp thyme

  • 1 tsp parsley

  • 1 vegetable stock cube

  • 4 dumplings (optional)

  1. Cover all the ingredients with hot water

  2. Dissolve and add the stock cube

  3. Bring to the boil and then simmer until everything is cooked (usually an hour)
