Serve up classic hot dogs for dinner with healthy veggies

  • 4 pork sausages or frankfurters

  • 4 hot dog buns

To serve

  • American mustard or ketchup

  • Carrot batons

  • Salad leaves

  • Cherry tomatoes, halved or quartered

  1. Cook the sausages or frankfurters according to packet instructions.

  2. Split the buns lengthways.

  3. Add a sausage to each bun. Garnish with a squiggle of mustard or ketchup. Serve with salad and plenty of veggies.

Tips

Serve your hot dogs with homemade sweet-potato wedges or skin-on chips (baked for 30 minutes at 200°C/180°C fan).
